 La Combinacion Perfecta do it again! After last year's amazing La-33 and Alex Wilson gigs in Leeds, this summer its time for the best salsa band in New York right now to hit the city!
La Excelencia are young, brash, full of energy and love classic salsa played the original way - hard, fast and with plenty of percussive power! Since they formed in 2005, and especially since their debut CD "Salsa Con Concienca" came out in 2006, they've been winning over salsa fans worldwide with the simple message - stop criticizing, start dancing! Their 2nd CD "Mi Tumbao Social" released in January 2009 is probably THE salsa CD of this year for both DJs and dancers! Latin Beat Magazine in the USA featured them on a front cover in 2008 and called them "salsa's weapons of mass destruction", recognising their power and energy and how they destroy dancefloors, though in a good way!
Now this 12 piece salsa tornado is heading towards Leeds for their first UK gigs ever and if you love REAL salsa played original 1970s barrio style, you must catch La Excelencia live! The Rumberos gig will be the final  date of a 7 day UK tour so the band will not only be smoking but partying before they move on to the next continent!
