This 2003 cd is the third of four release's. First up is that it's a
solid Latin Jazz release ideal for the old school Jazz heads who
crossed over into salsa.
Just eight tracks folks, but if Latin Jazz
laced with afro-cuban rhythms and a dash of salsa is your thing then
maybe it's worth buying.
The opening track 'Manhattan' is a superb
Latin Jazz track that is dancable for the hardcore salsa heads. The cd
in some ways is similiar to some of Humberto Ramirez's stuff for those
that are familiar with him. It's more of a listening cd than dancing.
However it does have a guaranteed floor filler in 'Micaela' plenty of
sabor not to be confused with the overplayed Sonora Carruseles version.
For the old skool Jazz heads 'Obsecion' is the killa track for you,
maybe for some of the salsa hardhats as well. Overall it's more of a
listening cd than dancing, but music is what you make it. If you love
trumpets, LJ and chillin then this one's for you.
