From Colombia, comes the new cd from Carlos Guerrero, vocalist for Grupo Niche and Sonora Carruseles amongst others.
The cd opens with the title track, and it's 30 second percussive intro before breaking into the track proper, and it's fat-sounding piano. I've played this one out a few times and got great reactions.
The album contains a good range of tempos and styles, including a nice cover of the Lebron Brothers 'Vente Conmigo', in addition to a take on Hector Lavoe's 'Mi Gente', but that was always going to be an ambitious attempt.
Not one for the hard-salsa fans, as this album has more of a mainstream angle, but will go down well on a lot of the UK's Salsa dancefloors.
There is one slightly dodgy track in 'Bring It On', but the rest of the album is solid enough to make it a worthy purchase.
