baila_ahtoy.gifAhtoy WonPat-Borja began her professional dance training in childhood in Guam and studied classical ballet and modern dance with the Houston and San Francisco Ballet Companies. As a young dancer, singer, and actress, she has held lead roles in full-length ballets, musical theater productions, symphony concerts, and musical revues and became a top International Latin Ballroom competitor in the collegiate circuit while attending Columbia University. Ahtoy began her salsa career as a principal dancer and instructor for world-renown Santo Rico Dance Company. During her time in Santo Rico and since founding BAILA Society with Daniel Enskat and Joseph Rivera, Ahtoy has taught, performed, and choreographed for television, private corporate events, and salsa congresses all over the globe.

baila_daniel.gifDaniel Enskat grew up as a professional tennis player and stage actor. When he moved to New York in 2000, he become passionate about dancing and eventually began training and performing with Santo Rico. Since founding BAILA Society with Ahtoy WonPat-Borja and Joseph Rivera, he has focused heavily on classical ballet and Katherine Dunham modern dance training to be able to provide a strong formal dance foundation for BASo's repertory company.

About BASo: Together with Joseph Rivera, Ahtoy and Daniel founded BAILA Society (BASo) with a vision to bring the dance, music, and art of salsa to a sophisticated global audience. Today, BASo partners with world class leaders to create innovative salsa experiences via luxury travel, lifestyle and cross cultural event coordination, private salsa programs, and online classes. Partnering with Santo Rico Director Tomas Guerrero, and incorporating top-level guest instructors from around the world (such as Joel & Ana from Masacote, Ismael Otero & Shani Talmor from Caribbean Soul, Yesenia Peralta, Joseph Ennin from Quickstep and many more), BAILA Society today teaches students from over 40 countries around the world, online. The BASo repertory company has performed all over Asia, Europe, the US and Latin America, including at charities, universities, cultural and corporate events, salsa congresses and luxury private functions.
