How, why and when did you get into salsa?

I listened to salsa music from a very early age and started dancing in 2000.  I first went to a salsa club with my mum in Italy where a really nice girl asked me to dance and I fell in love with the music.

My company is Frank Santos Dance, formed last year between myself and my dance partner Natalie Baltao.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

From many different people like Juan Matos, Fernando Sosa and I always try to look outside the box for new dancers that can inspire me with new steps and combinations.

Architecture as this is what I studied before.

Tell me something most people wouldn’t know about you?

I am a wonderful chef and I used to be a hip-hop singer.

What’s your all time favourite salsa club/event that you have played/taught/danced?

UK Congress

What has been your most memorable moment?

After I performed at the UK congress one of my first teachers Fernando Sosa said he was impressed with me and with how far I have got.

Have you had any embarrassing/nightmare-ish moments in salsa?

A few times on the stage when I forgot the routine.
