SUN OF LATIN MUSIC “EDDIE PALMIERI”
HEADLINES FESTIVAL
Eddie has a musical career that spans more than half a century as a bandleader of salsa and Latin jazz orchestras. He has been awarded an incredible nine Grammy Awards for his music, receiving his first Grammy in 1975 for The Sun of Latin Music - now considered historic, as it was the first time Latin music was recognized by the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences. Expect the roof to be raised when the Master takes the stage.
THE NEW SWING OPENING
The Legendary New Swing Sextet fly into the UK form the states for just 24 hours to open up Salsa Kingdom on Friday 5th September whilst on a World Tour launching their new album “Back On The Streets” The band has been a popular and innovative exponent of Latin jazz, salsa and pop music for nearly four decades.

Henry Knowles is without question the best and most respected salsa DJ in the world. Henry’s background includes working with promotions for major recording labels‚ such as BMG‚ WEA‚ RMM‚ for artist such as; Tito Puente‚ Celia Cruz‚ Christina Aguilera and has also worked with representation of artist such as; Marc Anthony‚ Ruben Blades‚ Spanish Harlem Orchestra and others. Henry brings with him his very own roster of DJ’s‚ they are : Lubi‚ Julian The Duke‚ Pepe Bassan‚ Mauricio Reyes & Recardo.

Early Bird Prices for the festival will finish at midnight on the 5th July, the price at the moment is £100 for a 3 days pass but will go up to £135 on the 6th July.

VILLAGE PARTY WITH PALENKE
The Salsa Kingdom Festival Village will feature a Sunday afternoon party featuring UK Salsa Group “Palenke” live from the bandstand plus music from our DJ’s. Following the Maria Torres “Salsation” show on Sunday evening their will be a firework display to celebrate the life and music of "Celia Cruz" and dancing to follow in the Lancastrian Suite and The Park Plaza.
SALSA CENTRAL BAR
Leading Salsa Community Website “Salsa Central” is hosting it’s own bar in the “Latin Village” area of the Salsa Kingdom Festival. The bar includes a dancing area‚ pool table‚ slide screen‚ inside / outside seating and will be featuring non stop music from the resident Salsa Central DJ’s and guests. The bar will be open through Saturday / Sunday of the event‚ and promises to be the place to be for all Salseros to meet at the Festival.
PRESS LAUNCH
Salsa Kingdom is having an exclusive press launch at La Tasca in Manchester on Tuesday 15th July for TV, Radio and Regional/National Press. We are proud to announce that one of the UK's leading Showbiz couples “Ryan Thomas” and “Tina O’Brien” from Coronation Street will be joining Susana Montero and friends in a Salsa lesson with a special appearance by WORLDS NO1 SALSA DJ Henry Knowles from NYC.
After the filming and interviews the doors of La Tasca will open to Salsa Kingdom guests (approx 7.30pm). As a special promotional offer anyone who has bought there festival ticket by the 15th July will get free entry to the party by bringing their e-ticket with them.
