UK Cuban Salsa Festival
This exciting 3-day event takes place on 30 April - 03 May 2010 at the historic Pavilion in Bournemouth, one of the UK’s top tourist and seaside destinations.
Featuring over 60 hours of daytime dance workshops with some of the very best Cuban Salsa teachers in Europe, 3 spectacular late night Salsa Parties featuring music and shows by Europe's hottest Cuban Salsa performers and DJs, loads of Havana Club Rum plus a live concert by a top Cuban band, this is the nearest you will get to Cuba in the UK!
Venue
 The Festival takes place in and around the Grade 2 listed Bournemouth Pavilion and Ballroom situated right in the heart of Bournemouth, overlooking the beach, the pier and Bournemouth gardens. One of the most beautiful ballrooms in the UK.
Built in the 1920s, the Pavilion retains its original Art Deco splendour and elegant styling and is Bournemouth's regular home for West End stage shows, Opera, Ballet, Pantomime and ballroom dancing.
The Pavilion Ballroom is situated to the rear of the complex, overlooking the sea and features a large maple hardwood sprung dance floor. The ballroom is fully air-conditioned with capacity for 900 people and is served by two bars.
This historic building is currently subject to a £13 million redevelopment programme that includes plans for the site to become both a regional and national centre for Dance South West.
