Win a Pair of Passes to the Cuba UK 3rd Cuban Salsa Congress Print E-mail

cubauk_banner_08.jpgWin a pair of passes, worth a total of £240, to the Cuba UK 3rd International Cuban Congress, held at the spectacular Bodelwyddan Castle in North Wales, from 28th November to 1st December, 2008.

The event features a world-class team of dancers, teachers, and performers, three party nights, and two full days of workshops, which all make for an indulgent Salsa fantasy break.

 

How To Enter

The prize consists of ONE PAIR of Full Non-Residential passes, which includes all workshops and parties, for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

(Please note: These are non-residential passes, so you'll need to arrange your own accomodation)

 "What’s the name of the album produced by Cuban musician Juan de Marcos González and American guitarist Ry Cooder with traditional Cuban musicians in the 1990’s, which together with the accompanying documentary, of the same name, produced by German director Wim Wenders, sparked a revival of interest in traditional Cuban music?"

THE LINE-UP

A world-class team of dancers, teachers and performers. New for 2008: New international artists from Europe including Chiquito, 'Best International Dancer Award' 2007 and 2008 (presented by none other than Eddie Torres) and his dance troupe who will perform and teach, for the first time ever in the UK and exclusively at the Congress.

Set in North Wales with spectacular views of the Welsh coastline and next to Snowdonia National Park. The Castle offers extensive leisure facilities, including heated indoor pool, sauna, steam room, fitness studio and, for an additional cost, Decleor health and beauty treatments.

Lowther Hall has state of the art sound and lighting, beautiful Christmas lights and three wooden dance floors, in a terraced format. An open stair case leads up to the gallery where you can look down on all the action and our second party room, the Gallery Bar. The Gallery Bar has windows opening out on to Lowther Hall, plasma screens which capture all the action in Lowther, a large wooden dance floor and it's own dedicated bar.

We have six dance spaces including the Bodelwyddan Castle Sculpture Gallery..This is the beautiful sculpture gallery located within Bodelwyddan Castle Museum and contains the National Portrait collection of paintings and statues. It is an inspirational room for our workshops and available for our exclusive use throughout the weekend.
