The Lebron Brothers has unseated the New Swing Sextet as the Number 1
CD on the Viejoteca chart this month. The re release Crillo which has
been released by emusica. Vancouver's Tanga has remained in the top
25of the Viejoteca chart at number 17. Tanga's latest release Simmer
and Serve is a mix of Cuban style salsa and latin jazz. Making it's
debut at number 19 is la Verdad with their new release entitled From A
Different Perspective. This is a classic release of 2007. Lots of
material from the Emuisca vaults again with a strong showing of Fania
re releases. The late great Hector Lavoe has 2 releases in the top 5 on
the strength of the reissue catalogue of Emusica. With all the hype the
releases keep coming. Another important new release making its way into
the top 5 is the Latin Soul Records and DJ Duste comp entitle Que Viva
la Salsa Dura!! Sure to be in the top of the year picks coming in
January
